Meet Our Principals

Mrs. Kristie Schlemmer

Prior to serving as the principal at Bellmont Middle School, Mrs. Schlemmer taught 14.5 years in a special education classroom. Of her 14.5 years, 12 years have been with North Adams Community Schools. She brings a wide range of experiences from the special education department, including serving as a lead teacher in a middle school emotional disabilities classroom, high school resource room classroom and an elementary classroom for autism services. She then was the assistant principal at Bellmont High School for 3.5 years.

Mrs. Schlemmer is an Adams County native and attended Bellmont High School. She and her husband have two kids and live on a farm in Adams County. She enjoys traveling when she is able, reading, snowmobiling, riding motorcycles/4-wheelers and exercising (Yoga and weightlifting). Her two daughters keep her extremely busy with their sports and dancing, as well.
